Families of Two Fires: Forging America’s Frontier 1776-1832 my latest historical fiction novel is now available for purchase through the Indiana Historical Society bookstore or Amazon. I found out so much I didn’t know about early Indiana history while researching and writing this book. I was especially fascinated by learning more about that period of history through the perspective of Shawnee, Delaware, and other Indigenous peoples. I pasted a link below from the Indiana Historical Society Press. You can follow it to give you a few of the highlights.

I am a descendant of George Holman on my paternal side. My grandfather was a rancher in eastern Wyoming. My brother and my niece are traveling to Richmond to see the family sites. I thought it would be fun for you to perhaps meet them. And maybe even be a tour guide. Here is my brother Jim Marquiss’s contact: 970-203-4583.
I really enjoyed the book. Members of the family have bought at least 3!

Hi Deb. I’m glad you enjoyed the book. I worked hard to get the historical facts right with the help of the Indiana Historical Society. I like making history come alive.
If you could ask your brother to email me the dates when he’ll be in town, I’ll see what I can do. Have him email me at rwisehart@comcast.net if he doesn’t mind.
If you like mysteries, I incorporated some of the Holman and Rue stories in my first mystery A Greyt Greyhound Rescue.
Thanks for reaching out.
